Reminds me of children who fall over yet don't appear hurt or start crying til they see their parents. I've seen toddlers take a tumble and get up, completely fine, but because their Mum gasps and starts fretting, they instantly play into it and all he'll breaks loose. It's quite funny to watch in public. You can tell when a child is coddled too much. I know a little girl who could walk but chose not to because her Mum constantly picked her up. She wouldn't allow anyone else to hold her and if she made the signal to be picked up and wasn't she'd start up. Not good. Same as when parents are bed time training their child to sleep separately. The cries pull at their heart strings and they can't leave the child alone. They then get into a routine of taking the child out of the cot and back to their own bed when it cries out.

That’s what I told the parents in my parent and totally swim classes. How you react to them in the water even being submerged is what they will learn about swimming.

This works to a point. I taught my daughters to like spiders, because I like them. Now I have one who likes them, one who is neutral, and one daughter who fears them.

I missed out on getting a crappy townhouse in a very crappy suburb around February 2023... apparently a year and a bit later that place is now worth 25% more. Why the fuck won't the real estate bubble burst already?

I'm 28 (and a half ☹️ ) so I am still eligible for the under-30s tickets at the theatre. Every time I buy one I think that they should put the age up to 40, cause a 40 year old today has the same relative wealth as a 30 year old used to.

Government was created not to control We the People but to establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity. They are doing a lousy job of protecting our liberties. I’ll tell you why because we gave them up for nothing but benefits and privileges from the government. On an easier to digesr note- if a parent reacts the kid reacts. During a christmas no one was eatching my toddler cousin and he ran face first into the stair barrierr that was blocking bbys from climbing the stairs. Smacked into it hard. He was stunned . Didnt do anything. Was ok got up wobbled up. The adults heard it in the next room went to check , and immediately went OH MO BBY DID YOU HURT YOURSELF MOMMAS HERE OHNOOHNO... And the brat started crying 😅

Superannuation is outdated too. The system is based on the old school one income, wife and kids at home, owning a house and not having mortgage repayments because it's paid off, had a progressive salary job retiring with a great income and some decent savings.
